60 second homemade vanilla (banana) ice cream!!!

I just made homemade vanilla ice cream in 60 seconds. Best of all, low fat, low calorie, vegan, gluten free!! Ok well technically it's banana ice cream but taste like vanilla ice cream to me.

*Note: I made 2 servings!!

Here is what you need for 1 serving:
1 banana, frozen (cut into quarters is best)
2-3 Tbsp Mimiccreme Sweetened Creme Substitute 
              (they make an un-sweetened one too)
1 packet of stevia - OPTIONAL

Process all ingredients together in a food processor until smooth and enjoy! If you don't have a food processor a good blender will work. 

I found the Mimiccreme Sweetened Creme Substitute at WholeFoods by all the nut milks in the dry grocery aisle not where the cold nut milks are.

Anyway PLEASE do yourself a favor and make this, I promise it won't disappoint!
My husband loved it too and had a great idea, make some No Pudge! Fudge Brownies to go with it. I make my No Pudge! brownies with applesauce so those are dairy free as well.

My NON-TOXIC shower routine!

I think it's been about 7 months since I switched all my products to NON-TOXIC ones and it's safe to hair is the same, my skin is the same and it's all good. There is no reason for you to still be using toxic chemicals on your body when there are non-toxic products that are just as good if not better.  Trust me, I never thought there would be a day where I would use something other than Pantene ProV on my hair or Dove as my bar soap, ect...

I really love these Shea Moisture products, they sell them at Target and Walgreens. They contain NO parabens, phthalates, paraffin, formaldehyde, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, animal testing, PABA, synthetic color, DEA or animal products!

The Alba, Jason and EOS shave cream they also carry at Target's and Walgreens. The jojoba oil can be found at Whole Foods. 

The jojoba oil I use last, before I get out of the shower I turn it off and do a little shake shake then take a little bit of the oil and massage all over my body then get out of the shower and pat dry! No need for lotion! Silky smooth!

So I've already done the post on the dangers of parabens but unfortunately those are not the only chemicals you need to avoid. Here is a 5 minute video to watch, she makes it simple and easy about what to avoid.

She mentions 'fragrance' - which is the main reason I LOVE my YL essential oils ; )

Easy Lentil Veggie Burgers

I made these vegan veggie burgers last night. They are packed with fiber and protein. Recipe makes 6 patties

     1/2 cup dried green lentils
     1 cup garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
     6 cloves of garlic
     1/2 cup fresh mushrooms (I used 1/2 cup of zucchini instead and a handful of spinach)
     1 Tbsp. olive oil
     2 Tbsp. ground flaxseed 
     5 tsp. Dijon mustard
     3 Tbsp. tomato paste
     1 tsp. chili powder
     1 tsp. turmeric
     1 tsp. cumin
     1 cup cooked brown rice

Note: I ground my own flaxseed from whole flaxseed


Preheat oven to 375

Cook green lentils and brown rice according to package directions.

In the meantime, add the garbanzo beans, garlic, mushrooms, and olive oil to a food processor and process for 30 seconds until somewhat formed. Remove the mixture and put in a large bowl.

Add cooked and drained lentils, cooked brown rice and remaining ingredients to the bowl. Mix and mash until contents are evenly spread out.

Form the mixture into 6 patties

Kinda look like funky oatmeal choc chip cookies LOL

Place on a greased or sprayed cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping once halfway through.


I topped mine with avocado and ate it with my salad. I made my husband the same but on top of a piece of a garlic pita, and yes he ate it!! LOL

Sneak peek at my dressing room

After months of waiting, the wallpaper I picked for my dressing room finally arrived and got installed today....yay! Now comes the real work, some new furniture pieces, chandelier, rug, ect.. I figured I'd give you a sneak peek, keep in mind the lighting was a little funky but you'll get the idea.

Roasted Garlic Asparagus

*This is an old post but I just noticed it never posted so I am posting now! ; )~

I'm not the biggest asparagus fan, , I mean I like it but not like I LOVE it. Well this recipe I LOVE!!!!!! OMG yum yum yum!

Sorry no pic, I inhaled it all before I thought to ; )  oopsy

1 lb (1 bunch) asparagus
2-3 Tbsp olive oil
8 large garlic cloves, each sliced and cut into 3-4 pieces
Celtic sea taste
Black taste
Fresh lemon taste (optional)

Cut off the tough ends of the asparagus, about an inch and a half and discard.
Put in a large ziploc bag with the olive oil and garlic chunks. Sprinkle in a little sea salt and pepper. Shake bag well, and put in fridge to marinade for 1-2 hours.

Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Bake at 450 for about 15 min or so, once you see the asparagus tips start brown they are done.

Wheatgrass - The Complete Food

I recently took a class at the world famous Hippocrates Health Institute on sprouting and wheatgrass. I've been implementing wheatgrass juice in my diet for a couple years now and more often now that I have my own juicer. One thing I did learn is that not all wheatgrass is created equal. Wheatgrass should not make you feel sick afterwards, if it does this means either you are VERY toxic and need to start off with less OR the wheatgrass you took was not of very good quality and may have contained traces of mold.
Wheatgrass should be taken on an empty stomach approx. 30 minutes before a meal. Start off taking .5 ounces per day and work your way up 2 ounces per day.
Before I continue let me share 

What is wheatgrass?
  • Wheatgrass is one of the richest natural resources of Vitamins A, C, D, K and B-complex. Wheatgrass is also a natural source of Laetril (B-17).
  • Wheatgrass is the richest source of chlorophyll, which is the "blood" of plants, with a molecular structure that is almost identical to the hemoglobin molecule of the human blood.
  • Wheatgrass contains beta-carotene, which is found in red, green and yellow pigmented fruits and vegetables. Beta-carotene acts as a scavenger against harmful molecules, flowing naturally through toxins inhaled from cigarette smoke, air pollution, or other environmental toxins.

What will it do for you?
  • Drinking wheatgrass and green juices helps your body to build red blood cells which carry oxygen to every single cell.
  • Chlorophyll helps wash drug deposits from the body, purifies the blood and organs, and counteracts toxins. Wheatgrass helps remove toxic heavy metals (lead, mercury, aluminum) that have become stored in the tissues.
  • Wheatgrass juice helps to increase the enzyme level in our cells, which aids in the rejuvenation of the body.

  1. Wheatgrass juice is one of the best sources of living chlorophyll available and is the basis of all plant life.
  2. Chlorophyll is the first product of light and , therefore, contains more light energy than any other element
  3. Wheatgrass juice is crude chlorophyll and can be taken orally and as a colon implant without toxic side effects.
  4. Wheatgrass is high in oxygen like all green plants that contain chlorophyll. The brain and all the body tissues function at an optimal level in a highly-oxygenated environment.
  5. Chlorophyll is an anti-bacterial and can be used inside and outside the body as a healer.
  6. Dr. Bernard Jensen says that it only takes minutes to digest wheatgrass juice and uses up very little energy.
  7. Science has proven that chlorophyll arrest growth and development of unfriendly bacteria.

  13. Wheatgrass juice is a superior detoxification agent compared to carrot juice and other fruits and vegetables. Dr. Earp-Thomas, associate of Ann Wigmore, says that 15 pounds of wheatgrass is equivalent of 350 pounds of carrot, lettuce, celery, and other nutritious vegetables.

  20. Wheatgrass juice held in the mouth for 5 minutes will help eliminate toothaches. (Be sure to spit it out) It pulls poisons from the gums.
  21. Gargle with wheatgrass juice for a sore throat.
  22. Drink wheatgrass juice for skin problems such as eczema or psoriasis.
  23. Wheatgrass juice keeps the hair from graying.
  24. By taking wheatgrass juice, once may feel a difference in strength, endurance, health and spirituality, and experience a sense of well-being.
  25. Wheatgrass juice improves the digestion.
  26. Wheatgrass juice is high in enzymes.
  27. Wheatgrass juice is an excellent skin cleanser and can be absorbed through the skin for nutrition. Pour green juice over your body in a tub of warm water and soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.
  28. Wheatgrass implants (enemas) are great for healing and detoxifying the colon walls. The implants also heal and cleanse the internal organs. 
  29. Wheatgrass juice is great for constipation and keeping the bowels regular.
  30. Dr. Birscher, a research scientist, called chlorophyll "concentrated sun power". He said "chlorophyll increases the function of the heart, affects the vascular system, the intestines, the uterus, and the lungs."
  31. Wheatgrass juice can dissolve the scars that are formed in the lungs from breathing acid gasses. The effect of carbon monoxide is minimized since chlorophyll increases hemoglobin production.
  32. Wheatgrass juice reduces high blood pressure and enhances the capillaries.
  33. Wheatgrass juice can remove heavy metals from the body.
  34. Wheatgrass juice is great for blood disorders of all kinds.

Wheat grass has only about 10-15 calories per teaspoon. It has no fat or cholesterol. It has nearly a gram of protein per teaspoon, and includes all eight of the essential amino acids, as well as 13 of the remaining 16. The amino acids it doesn’t contain are easily made within the body.

It contains Vitamins A, B1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 12; C, E and K. A teaspoon of wheat grass contains around 15mg of Calcium, 8mcg Iodine, 3.5mcg Selenium, 870mcg Iron, 62mcg Zinc, and many other minerals.

I just made myself a shot. My dogs LOVE wheatgrass too! They come running as soon as they hear me get my little HealthyJuicer out. They know wasssup. If you've ever noticed when your dogs aren't feeling well they will eat grass.
